Time to vote on a logo for the 2006 Coonabarabran event

I'd like to help but have a bloody car to get on the road for it which I'm

sure I'll still be bolting stuff on down the Newell hwy next easter just to make it on time.

Lou and I are organising the 2006 Coonabarabran Zed Fest. It is a www.aus300zx Forum event and open to all Zed owners and members of any forum, OZ included.

We're in the early stages of organisation at present with the venue [Matthew Flinders Motor Inn] reserved for Easter, pending individual bookings.

Logo designs for T-shirts & other apparel are the subject of his thread. Keza has an apparel supplier ready to produce T-shirts & polo shirts upon final selection of designs.

I anticipate a sticky will be posted around December with full Zed Fest details including daily events, show & shine prize categories etc.

 

I have voted B, but think www.aus300zx.com should be mentioned

somewhere or 'The Australian 300zx Owners blah blah'

 

I forgot - need a big set of tits on there somewhere as well

 

Co-operation between AUS & OZ forums.

By the tone of the above post, it would appear that the friendly and co-operative association of these two forums (forums whose membership is largely the same people), is about to be placed at risk by creating friction where no friction currently exsists.
This is not in the best interests of either forum, and can only serve to harm the success of the Easter Gathering.
As the members organising this Cruise are from both forums, how can this be seen as purely an AUS300ZX event?

I personally feel that RedZedMikey's suggestion was made in good faith, and with a good deal of forethought, and I support it wholeheartedly.

However,if this is to be another "Them & Us" event, then my wife and I will be one of the first to cancel our Motel bookings, and spend our Easter elsewhere.

With one or two exceptions we're all members of Oz. No friction exists.

Both RZM & Chewy expressed opinions in good faith.

SIMPLE SOLLUTION

If no url's are put on the merchandise it's not deemed to be anyones specific event except for 300zx owners.

Thats what it's about isn't it.

Everyone from everywhere getting together, having a few drinks, having some laughs. Enjoying the Easter break together.


I say those with Friction should put it aside and enjoy the organised event.

What does it matter who organised it, lets just go, have a good time, get plastered if we have to and make BEER HATS.

I guess I'm an exception, I don't agree with even the slightest mention

of the 'other' forum on here. It's an insult (although the mods would never admit it), and in poor taste. It is a seperate forum, why associate the two, why be a member of both unless activities and membership are different??? There's no point except to give a few whingers a feeling of power. This event has nothing to do with the 'other' forum, and if it becomes associated, you can certainly count me out (not that it would upset anyone).

I can easily make the z symbol change and i was going to add 2006 Coonabarabran on it but havent had the chance, if one of them gets chosen "2006 Coonabarabran" will be curved around the top. :thumbsup:

Why it's not able to be accepted that it is a www.aus300zx.com organised event. It was started on THIS forum, thus any argument demanding that www.oz300zx.com be placed on merchandise/logos in addition to www.aus300zx.com seems to be void. I'm not saying that it will be or wont be...but those are the facts as I see them.

We are all association members regardless of which forum you belong to (we all began here), and I'd rather see one URL displayed on merchandise than 2 for sake of simplicity & reducing 'clutter'/confusion.

The event is open to all zedders under the common banner of The Australian 300zx Owner's Association.

There is no reason to boycott the event or the purchasing of merchandise based on the fact it displays www.aus300zx.com on it, or anything else for that matter. It is being offered to commemorate what should be a fantastic event :thumbsup:

I really do not care whether the end merchandise have an URL on them on, so long as there is merchandise. I think it would be beneficial to promote an association website, as opposed to 'not at all', thus the logical choice is the forum which traditionally hosts/organises the event. Why over-complicate things?

Seriously though... It's about the people that go, not what's printed on the fricken shirt. If people are going to start arguing over something as trivial as this, do as Sean said and take the URL off it.
I think in the end it comes down to who is doing all the organising. From where I sit, it looks like AUS. It would be a shame to lose people over something as silly as this. :thumbsdown::thumbsdown:
