The stock temperature gauge has three readings: cold, normal and your screwed...i think around halfway is the norm...

    Hi,

My TT sits just below middle, however my gf's NA sits just above middle, just like what you're describing.

Why you want an oil temp gauge for? Planning on drifting it or something?

    Benny_C About as subtle as...

    Depending on resistance

in the wiring from your Temp sensor to your guage, it may show slightly different on your guage. ie, if you have a bit of corrosion in connectors or a lazy temp sensor it will show the needle slightly less on the guage.

But, if they're both consistantly staying in the one spot around the middle of the guage then it should be at a "normal" temp state which should be fine.

You can't go past an aftermarket water temp guage though as the stock guage stays in it's "normal" position before it rises until 103 degrees! at least an a/m guage will show it creep up in real time if you're overheating.
