Hi all

Based in visual inspection how does one differentiate between manual and auto cams, different numbers?

 

there are different paint colour markings but I dont know which is which, ones yellow I believe, read it somewhere in a post.

 

Yep, coloured bands. Have a search, been discussed a few times.

Colour bands are -

Auto intake - yellow
Auto exhaust - blue/green

Manual intake - blue/green
Manual exhaust - blue/green

Blue/green is the same colour. I've seen a few sets of cams now. Sometimes the bands look blue, sometimes green.
Not just in photos. Maybe something to do with what they were washed in? Or oil types?
Doesn't matter, all that matters is they're not yellow.
