Kaminari wings suit the 2 seater really well. But if I ever had a 2 seater non vert and had to pick a wing that wasn't a 2k spec I would take the driven authority one and mould it into the hatch. Never knew Stillen had a wing like this. Good find.
So I put the word out on US forums that I was after a Stillen wing. A guy has contacted me informing me he has one for sale. I asked for pics to show fitment (as I've heard they can fit badly) & he has guaranteed it's a good fit and condition. As you all know I'm often indecisive, I'm toying with the idea of getting a '99 spec wing (fibregalss replica) also. They are roughly the same cost. If I go with the '99 wing I'll need to have the hatch holes welded and resprayed. If I get the Stillen it will cover the holes. What to do, what to do? get the stillen wing, trial fit it, see if you like it on YOUR car. if its not to your taste or the fitment doesnt satisfy etc. sell it for profit as it would be the only one or at the very least one of only a few in country. win win my friend.
The guy selling the Stillen seems a bit fishy to me. Super keen to sell & take my cash. Has shown no pics at this stage and says he can't be paid via paypal as his account is dormant. I think I'll just go wingless, it's the easiest and cheapest option. Anyone want a Bomex wing?
On a two seater, not much beats the Brazilian look, it just looks tough. If you go the 99 spec wing rout, please trial fit it slightly back from the stock mounting position as IMO it looks a lot better than when it is positioned in the stock distance from the hatch. PS: was the 99 spec wing only an option on the four seater zeds?
Jono on the UK forums there is a member Car.Mad...he makes fiberglass replicas of the 99spec spoiler so maybe get a price from him & see if its cheaper than the other place you got the quote from...ive gone brazillian on my 2+0 zed & i love it but the 99spec spoiler does look nice...just have a look at Karl's zed for inspiration Abraham
