head unit in car, have old phillips stacker in boot. head unit has 12 or 13 pin socket for cd control but I dont believe all are active pins as as some dont seem to have any metal contacts in them. cable from stacker has 8 pin circular plug in stacker unit and part that plugs into head unit is 8 pin but sqaure. Is there ay wya I can put a new plug and shopuld the woires be the same and only the plug different ??I'll assume that cd stackers are pretty much the same and only a branding issue. similar to most head units having same wiring (earth, power antenna, remote control (amp switch being blue) and ground, illumination and constant and switched 12 v being same colors of wires for all.asked strathfeild and there is no adapter available, been told to try J-car to get a plug but not sure if it would work and was wondering if anyone had more knowledge on the issue.bB
