Hey guys ive got an auto 90 tt..
mods are pod filter, FMIC, BOV..

ive read previous posts about stalling but it doesn't seem to relate to my issue..as other post are about slowing down then stalling..

Now i would slowly take off at the lights and i could hear popping noises, when i try to accelerate it sounds like it's choking and stalls.
sometimes.. the rev needle would move erratically then eventually stall.. but it wouldn't always do it.. i might be able to drive it for about 5mins then it will do it again..

where should i be looking at?     :( :( :(

    Boost leak!

Certainly all the signs of a boost leak mate, i'd look at the bung that's been fitted in the re-circ return pipe because you have BOV's, failing that do a boost leak test, it's really something you should do once year anyways, IMO :)
Just re read your mods, all 3 of them are likely air leaks mate, whilst checking what i said above, look where your Pod filter attaches to the AFM, is it a good seal ? the FMIC has a few silicone connectors, check to see has a hose slipped off one pipe and all hose bands are still nice and tight.

    electric or mech

Basically, if the trouble is repeatable id look at mechanical stuff like boost leaks.

However what you describe is intermittent faults, the type most always caused by intermittent connections. Usually in the engine bay, Crank Angle Sensor (CAS) and Air Flow Meter (AFM) would be likely suspects.

Theres articles about checking & cleaning connectors in the tec section. Even if not youre main problem its always good to go over them to make sure theyre ok.
