stalling issues after bov install

hey all, I finally got around to installing my GFB Stealth FX bovs today, firstly I tried them vented to atmosphere which I figured would stall the engine anyway but after a quick test of that I plugged up the atmosphere port and then turned the cap to set it to recirc. Now I have the problem where it will stall if I put the clutch in too early when coming to a stop. Obviously it wasnt doing that with the old recircs but Im just not too sure what could be causing it, I have checked to make sure all the hose clamps are tight and everything. The car had -19psi, which is a good thing, means there is no vacuum leaks atleast.

Indicates a Vacuum Leak somewhere, I'd be double checking your plumbing.

Does it struggle to maintain idle at stand still?

nope it idles fine, the boost gauge doesnt move, from -19psi at idle, If I use the gears to slow all the way down till im just about stopped its fine but if I put the clutch in from about 20 - 30 kms in an attempt to just use the brakes to stop the rpms drop right off and it stalls,

I don't think from memory that boost gauge you have is negative PSI, it becomes an inHg scale (inch of Mercury) once in Vacuum.

Definitely sounds like an idle issue to me. What RPM is it idling at? Could just need adjusting. I vaguely remember that Zed idling a tad low as well. Have a look through the Tech Section for the page on Idle, I'd be resetting that idle, maybe even temporarily bumping it up a little and see if that solves anything and work from there, also check your TPS is set correctly, to 0.45V, again look it up in Tech Section, very easy to do.

    Tighten the spring up.

Big knob on top. See if that helps.

The spring is as tight as it goes, it doesnt seem to do it when im putting around like a granny but if i get it to about 3k rpm and then let off the accelerator and put the clutch in it will do it. Im starting to lean towards the bovs leaking through the body of the bov itself cause there are alot of moving parts in them and alot of seals and i suppose all it would take is 1 of them to be dicky to cause such problems yeah?

BOOST leak test, use a compressor, you will find if its leaking there pretty quick.
Moula may be right look at TPS too.

Are you sure that the recirc pipes etc are secured to the BOV properly ?

Hey i called gfb today and the guy i talked to suggested that i release the spring a bit which i did and it seems to have fixed it, apparently cause the spring was so tight it wasnt letting enough pressure out and even though i couldnt really hear it it was surging which in his experiences can cause the afm to not know what is going on. But ill give it a better test this arvo on the way home. Thanks all for your hwlp and suggestions too.
