Actually Baroo if you look closely,

I only have it sitting there without the bolts thru it just for the pic. I'm going to take a few mm off the top of the two mounts like mrmagoo, everything should be good after that and I can mount it properly. I really want and need the clearance because I'm getting it along with a heap of other stuff either anodised gold or plated and I dont want any scratches on it,should be nice when finished I hope.:D

    Baroo TIMMAY!

Just try mounting it the other way round before you go cutting

anything. As I mounted it the same as in your pic and it hits the bonnet. Other way around no probs. Just a thought. Might even save you some $$$ and or elbow grease getting it to fit.

The strut brace definately clears the bonnet, but rubs the insulation

The strut brace definately clears the bonnet (Yes you need to fit it the correct way), the only real issue is if you have have bonnet insulation the Brackets will rub at the front and wear a hole into the insulation. Its the front highest point on the bracket that only needs 2-3mm taken off and there is definately plenty of meat there to keep it strong.

Its a great strut brace and would recommend it for the price. I have seen others that sit lower and appear to fit better for more than double the price, for the price you are paying its worth a little elbow grease.
