They are blue in colour and are increadibly strong (alot stronger than your average belt, due to the kevlar content). For more information on the benefits of kevlar timing belts you can check out the Power Enterprises web site in the Japan. They were one of the leaders in kevlar timing belt construction and we also sell their belts, but they cost almost twice as much. This is a chance to purchase a far superior belt compared to the stock belt at a very good price. Cheers Jen
theres also a story on here or ttnet.. cant remember, was more than a year ago that made me decide to go kevklar,.. someone blew a hole through their timing belt with a bolt dropping off into the bottom cog.. rubber belt would have snapped.. kevlar one had a hole in it but kept workin these arent that more $$ than an oem one.. so *shrugs* good insurance in my mind
Yah, I'm running the Greddy Extreme belt without covers... Not sure if it's kevlar but I'd expect so.
what is the benefits fo runnign without covers, other than looking pretty, what mods need to be done to do this
Its just to look pretty, other than that its probably worse to have them off. No mods just dont put them back on...
Happened to me too, well not a big hole but three splits caused by foreign object in timing covers getting between cam gears and timing belt. Would've ****** a rubber belt real good.
no prob 4 me my mechanic hates zeds so much so that he refuses to look at them even when it comes to that time of the year, i had to take off my air guide last time so he could get the details off the compliance plate
Deal is on for as long as we can get a good price from the supplier, in other words, am unsure. GET IN QUICK.... PS: new info in ad too, so click on link
My order is in Just a bit concerned about the possibility that the belt could get crushed in transit though. This may cause unseeable damage resulting in a premature failure..
