Something a bit different for the forum. I know there are a lot of fans out there so here is your chance to pick up a project mega cheap!

    Engine and Interior
This car is 99% complete and was bought to restore but now need the space for another project. It is running an L24 with an E30 high compression head and standard Hitachi twin carbs. Starts and runs but the head gasket is blown, however the car can still drive. The automatic transmission is in excellent condition and shifts smoothly. The car has an A/C unit installed but is missing the condenser. Dash is cracked but still has all the original gauges in it and a heater fascia. Glove box is in good condition and is still the original cardboard item. The car has the original series 1 centre console with hand throttle and choke controls still intact. Original seats have been re-trimmed in velor. Diamond vinyl trim is in excellent condition.

    The Body
I have ground back the bad areas of the body to reveal the major rust and generally this car is very good. Floors and chassis rails are really good no problems here.

It needs the following rust repair panels:
    ?driver's side door skin
    ?beaver panel
    ?LHS dog leg
    ?LHS guard bottom

The rest is just normal rust patching. The other thing to note is the right hand side wheel arches are rough and this car is a prime candidate for the installation of Z-G style fender flares. The right rear quarter has been dented and pushed in a bit, but cutting the arch to suit the flare will remove a lot of the damage.
The back of the roof, hatch hinge area and spare tyre well have no signs of rust. From what I have inspected the chassis rails look to have no rust in them.

Call 0410 117 169 for any questions or to arrange an inspection.

You've got to be kidding me. Regardless of the body work needing done, that's mega cheap. Here I am buying a patrol tomorrow and i hadn't seen this..... Would love a 240z. Even more though a sp311 if you have one going cheap too???

Really. Thats a bugger. Honestly i dont check ebay much, too much crap on there. I think people get scared of a little work. Expect the best for nothing. $3500 for a 240z regardless is good value. I think its the difference between nissan owners and datsun/nissan owners. Once you've had an L series engine, you soon realise how easy it is to achieve good things without spending stupid amounts of cash.

    Anyways, done and dusted.

And yes an sp311 would be great fun. Seen a few cheapies sold lately, again some requiring a bit of work, but at least you have something to start with.

Side note, do you have any L28 spares?

Not at the moment but they come up all the time. I have to laugh at the stupid amounts of cash bit. I just built a 3.4L L28 with triple 50 webers lol.

You didn't spend 10k on those American stroker kits for the l28's did you? Albeit a angry motor that's a fair effort for any over sized block. Seen quiet a bit of those os l28 on the forums and z forum.

We have a 240k rally car and I'm building a moderate stroked l24 engine with efi. Mainly to fit in with the regs but I need to source a l28 crank for it to progress. How different are the l26 cranks to the 28? I thought they were different but i was told they're the same... Your opinions?
