short shifta

    just bought a new short shifta and installed it , i cant believe the difference in shifting i had a really sloppy gear stick previously and this has made so much difference highly recomend to all :zlove:

    Found the same thing when i installed mine, might have been the fact i had no bushings on before and now i have really tight ones

    Hi, where did you buy it and if you dont mind how much, not to much bother to install ? have seen the tech section looks straight forward.

    I bought mine in a GB not too long ago for $60 delivered i think ant remeber too well. Looks same as kit above bushings are real tight a lot of ppl didnt use them but you can get them in with a bit of force

    That's really surprising. Normally I hear the opposite ie. short shifters make it harder to get into gear. Good to hear it's working well for you though.

    the general consensus it seems that if your synchro's are on the way out, the shorter throw, which gives the synchro's less time to do their job, exagerates the problem.. so i hear.

    Thats true Mafi-zed - the shorter throw means quicker changes which in turn gives the synchros less time to do their thing.

    They're nice to use; but I'd never put one in a standard box.
