As shift lights seem to be illegal here in the West, has anybody seen a device that provides a tone or a beep at a programmable RPM setting? Something that is invisible until you hit the set RPM would be good, they don't like monster tachs over here either, lol. Cheers Andrew
why are shift lights illegal if they're not ontop of a monster tacho? you can get cheap compact ones from Jaycar to fit on the steering column out of the way. they have like 6 LEDs in different colours.
According to the (several) people I've spoken to in the Dept of Transport over here, they are a distraction. Go figure!!!
Nah put a relay in place of the bulb and hook it up to your horns, three redlines to start a race BEEP BEEP BEEP, and as you redline it will warn small children and animals of your approach, really it would be a safety device.
Yep there are too many distractions already, like speed cameras, traffic lights, other drivers........
Loud and piercing it will have to be, I'm not young any more The TT is actually pretty quiet inside, it's the NA that's bloody loud lol
The latest firmware of the ECUtalk displays provides a buzzer for user preset warnings, RPM is one of them but still, it's a bit quiet..
