hey gday! firstly i must say thank you so much to all the people that contributed to this site, i've spent many hours studying on here over the last year, i wouldve been stuffed without it! this is one of the best automotive sites that i've used over the years! so i thought i should start my own build thread.

i bought my 2+2 tt late last year ripped the rear wing off it and drove it as it was for about 3 months, its was pretty ratty with massive(you f#@ked my missus) key marks in both doors and had a auto rear seal leak from hell, but still loved driving it.

well long story short, i drove up to bundaberg at the start of the year for my dads funeral and got stuck in the floods up there for an extra few weeks instead of 3 days, in the first escape attempt i run into about 20 cm of water on the road and she scored a gut full of water(15 litres in the plenums, turbos, intercoolers, piping, sump etc) was great fun sorting that out!

when i got it back to home base i started pulling it down.........will add to this as i get time, anyway heres some before and after shots so far, will upload more pikys as i find them, the cars back on the road but still a long way to go tho!

btw i have done everything on it myself, bare metal paint/panel,manual conversion and button clutch, new turbos, 100k service, all deletes, leather interior, mandrel exhaust etc no outside help whatsoever and in an open carport, im also a single working dad so please dont take the piss to much haha!

    as it was advertised........

chucked some tiens at it and some shit wheels but sizes were ok.......
squeezed it in the old shed( miss that more than the ex btw! as we moved out about a week after that foto) also my r31 rb30det, and my 260z 2+2.........

when we were up in bundy stuck in the floods, i photograph lightning and there wasnt anything in the foreground of the shot so i jammed the zed in.........kinda looked like an advert ! haha btw i dont know how to use photoshop.............

then got hold of a zedtoy front bar......and this is when i decided i was going to paint it, i got the order of things a bit messed up haha!........its all a learning curve hey!.........

10 months later............still needs heaps done tho ...........

I'm not a big fan of the green, but you've done a good job!

Did you rebuild the engine after it getting a gutfull of water?

    thanks heaps guys!

no i didnt, when i hit the water it was only at idle, we got it straight out and did a comp test to see if it broke any rings, renewed the oil a few times over 500 klm , replaced the turbos as they seemed to have copped the main damage, its running fine now anyways thankfully !

Looks real nice mate, youve done an exceptional job so far.

Is that the gm poison ivy colour?

Green does look a little odd on the z32 but its a tasteful colour and blends with the smooth z lines.

Possibly with a different rim design it will pull off completely.

    More pics!

I likey! I don't mind that green at all, looks mint :D (yes, bad pun). Very tastefully done, it looks minimalistic but that is the trick.

Are those ANZ Blitz rims? If they are and you ever need a spare (because they are obsolete and impossible to find these days) hit me up because I have 2 stored in the shed(17 x 8).

ta, yeh wanted something different hey, was gunna use that colour on my 260z but the 300zx scored it first (yep its the gm poison ivy) yeh the wheels suck but their not a bad size (18x8.5 & 9.5) tryes are 285x35 & 245x30 just look a bit crappy for now but better than the std ones i had on it haha!

ta mate, excelsiour or sum crap written on the centre, look like about 10 other brands as well, their 18s, but thanks for the offer mate!
