Hi everybody. Round 4 of Saturday afternoon sprints is on this Saturday the 6th September. Both Aza and I will be competing and (last time I checked) Max was coming out to pop his cherry as well. (After a conversation today Its possible that 571CKY may be out too) Its an enjoyable afternoon as always and would be great to see some familiar faces out there. Racing starts at 12.30pm.:zlove:
Yeah might give it a hit. Wouldn't mind seeing if my speed limiter is deleted I'm worried about the tranny and the panels and cost and the shit annoying things in my car that I need to iron out I'm leaning towards spectating.
:zlove: 571CKY the paparazi will be there too. Decided not to drive. I can't afford to break my baby.
Im keen Im keen!!! Got a couple of meetings that morning but if can get away in time, Im there. Good luck guys!!!! Show them the "Zed POWER!!!!!!!":zlove:
only one more sleep now seems like it has been ages since being out on the track, might be my last for the year trying to decide if i will be doing the 20th as well more than likely will thou. should have the camera setup in the car also see if i can get some good footage.. see yas there
MY GOD WHAT A DAY!!! I don't know who it is that looks over all of us but he/she is making it clear they dont want me racing tomorrow. Today started out briliantly. I dropped the Zed in for a wheel alignment and went to the pub for a "breaky beer". Problem was when I got home and went to move the support vehicle (my van a holden combo). Put the spare key (as the original was with the zed at the shop) in the ignition and tried to start it and nothing happened but the flashing of the engine light. Since it had been pissing down rain all day I assumed it was wet electrics and went about checking all the connectors. After doing all that to no avail it was onto the internet to find how to pull out the engine codes. After alot of dicking around I got the code out and it was code 85 - Immobilzer . Bloody factory key has a transponder in it that I didnt know about. Picked up the zed and was happy with the job. Got home and started the van with its proper key. And moved it up my very steep driveway to load it up for tomorrow. Once loaded I went to move it down the driveway and because of the wet in the concrete and the fact the van is front wheel drive, started to slide towards the brick pillar the gate is attatched to. I tried to drive it back up but the front wheel only spun and I still went back wards until I was pinned up against the post unable to go fowards or backwards. After several attempts at sticking things under the tyres and a half hour later I let all the air out of the tyres and managed to get it off the wall only to find that I couldnt get it down the drive way as rear drum brakes had locked with all the rocking and handbrake on and off. So very dangerously with a trolley jack got under the back of the van and let the car down onto the street. Jacked it up and unlocked the brakes so it could be driven again. After about and hour of adjusting the shoes there was some feel of brake pedal again. What a day! Tomorrow I go racing and nothing is going to stop me!!!
Well I nearly didn't make it. I only just realised thanks to a phone call with pete its tomorrow. I though it was sunday.
