    Hi All,

Glad this website is up and running again. I was putting in new headlight bulbs the other day for my Z32 and i'm having great difficulty putting the bulbs right in properly. I mean i got the right bulb size H3C but i just can't get it in to place, I removed the clips holding the bulbs and everything. Is it me or is it really hard to change the headlight bulbs for a Z32, the space to do anything in the engine bay of a Z32 is just absolutely shocking. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks Fellas.

It is tight, but not impossible. You shouldn't need to remove the rtaining clips, just unclip and then swing them out of the way. The clobe has a round cut-out on one side and a square cut-out on the other. They are designed to go in only one way so meake sure you have them correctly orientated.

    Me too

You need to update your profile so we know if you have a TT or N/A just in case there are differences.

I have an N/A though and yes agree it's a bloody tricky job but with patience it can be done. The base of the bulbs have a little cutout that means the bulbs can only go in one way.

I also found that a pair of those pointy nosed pliers with the tips bent at right angles help hold the bulb in place while you use your other hand to get that bloody spring clip in place.

    Cheers

i farkin hate changing the globes, and cos its such a PITA i always inadvertently dirty the globe whilst doing it, so that it only lasts a few months, and then i have to go through the whole process again

i wanted to pull the headlights out to make changing the globe easier, but andrew told me it's a fair bit of work to get those headlights out

i think i need to relocate stuff in my engine bay just to free up room to make that task easier

    Yep a fiddly PITA job

like most on the Zed, but not impossible, nothing needs to be removed, just hold back the spring clip and the bulb should go in without too many dramas. Try not to touch the bulb ofcourse. I use anti-static gloves (from PC building).

Anybody want to talk about changing Hi Beam globes? I can't see any way to get at them, other than removing the headlight from the car.:mad::eek::confused:

    Me too!

I would also appreciate a guide for the high beams. I've also heard (from oz300zx.com) that the high beams are in fact H1 bulbs, not H3/H3C. Anyone confirm/deny that?

High beams can be done CHILI with smaller hands.

And insted of using a retaining arm that you depress and swing out of the way the H1 globe holder has a circular clip that wraps the holder and the 2 points meet back at the top where then you press these 2 points together which allows you to remove it....but trust me my hand came back out of the bay looking like its been attacked by a bear.
