... on two of them, please?1. Driving across the Southport Bridge last night I was 'caught' by an amateur angler's fishing line [& sinker which fortunately bounced off the rear screen], however the line wound itself around my antenna and broke it off! :`(   A quick SEARCH located the AERPRO AP252 part number & the local auto shop had one @ $30 in stock.:YD So an easy fix ahead - courtesy of COVE's tech article.2. Illuminated rear panel - Garry [BlueZ], & I checked for the fault whilst at Gilgandra without much luck. The Inverter whistles loudly and has AC output - we got zapped! An ohms test on the panel circuit shows extremely high impedence & AC output from the inverter measured around 130 - 150 vac. Any help in diagnosing/locating the fault would be appreciated. I've read all about the panel wires coming loose, but are there more accurate tests I can do b4 lighting up the oven?3. Climate Control roof sensor/fan - once again Garry pointed out the problem & we cleaned the fan but no luck. GAZZA's tech article provided more info but despite extensive cleaning & silicon lubricant the fan will not quite start running by itself. It turns effortlessly and needs a 'push' to start. Has anyone had this problem - Garry suspects 'lazy' capacitors. Ideas??Such annoying little problems! BTW, after 1750 km's the car is running better than ever - must'ave blown a few cobwebs out.Cheers, Rob:-Z

    Can't help much with others...
Sensor fan... mine had slightly diff prob, would start most of time but was noisy!
Tried cleaning etc, didn't work... left it and CC sensor out.. that made CC really screwy.. re installed but disconnected fan.. works great.
I think in our warm climate CC gets enough info without fan running.

    Thanks Chris, but >>>

    >>> although CC still works great around town, on long trips [like Gilgandra & back], it does not stop cooling.Only a minor problem I know, but if I can fix it .... well maybe Goulburn's not THAT far!Cheers, Rob.:-Z

The fan will only spin if the screw is adjusted correctly. Too tight and it wont spin, too lose and it wont spin. Just have a play with it and try adjusting the tightness of the screw.Cheers

See my write-up a few posts above.

I'll have another play with it today +

... set it running whilst out driving - see what happens. It is running very, very free, already.Cheers, Rob.:-Z

i had the same problem with the panel. had

to open it up and re-solder the contact points to the EL panel. you will probably need to do the same, after having eliminated all other possibilities.

Thanks Pete ... I'm kinda hoping it doesn't

... come to that, but I'll wait see if someone can give me some really accurate diagnosis tips.Re the AC head sensor, MikeZ was here today - we went for a run and the fan started once all by itself. So here's hoping it 're-learns' to do it every time.Cheers, Rob.:-Z
