I'm going to be building a R32GTR for circuit racing instead of using the zed and I was wondering if there are any problems with taking off the exhaust. I mean it would be less weight but i know"fleet" and the slot car still keeps them on......why?

for me it's just a matter of convenience also my car is street driven on occasion and I dont have a simple solution to just take off my exhaust. so it just stays on.

    Coz it's friggin LOUD!! :p :D

I'm sure that CAMS has similar rules to the ADR's about having the exahust exit a certain distance behind the last welded seam or opening of the car. On that note, side pipes are incredibalby cool

    Noise

I hate noise and would like mine quieter if anything. Most tracks have DB max levels including Philip Island with is 72db at 30 metres and they do enforce this, so I am in process of quietening the Slot Car for DAT NATS.

Also I assume you mean mufflers as if no pipe unless out the side it will burn things and can effect aero of the car if pointing down under the car.
