Howdy Z-Folk, I've noticed that there's a whirring type noise coming from the left rear area of my Z. From the research I've done I 'think' it's a wheel bearing on the way out. My question is: could it be anything OTHER than a wheel bearing? I don't want to fork out nearly $300 for a new wheel bearing assembly just to find that that's not the problem. Cheers, Mark
Fuel pump? but you're more likely to hear the fuel pump at idle or with the engine off but ignition on. Jack the rear of the car up and turn the wheel by hand. Should be obvious if it's the bearing. Maybe the stone guard for the brake rotor? Or even the pads?
Had same problem from right rear but the noise got louder when going around corners and mine turned out to be the wheel bearing.
