Well after getting pissed off with the car , then getting pissed last night because of it:eek:........................today i checked every hose for leaks or splits, made a boost leak tester and used it (works great)because i didnt have one!!
Got a spanner up and moved the wastegates, sprung back ,, so not stuck.
No error codes present, so disconected the det sensor plug,,,,,got code 34...cleared and reconected(to make sure im not in safety boost)no error codes again:(

Went for a drive down the road ,and...............factory boost gauge STILL only just moves from the right of zero.........grrrrr:bash::mad::bash:Still no boost

Any ideas , or is it siezed turbo time??

    Cheers
    Patrick

    ps ; by the way,
it starts and runs and idles fine same as normal...just no f##n boost.

No boost leaks and working wastgates only leaves the turbos themselves imo. Are you sure there's no leaks? checked intercooler piping under the front bar? (8 clamps) and turbo outlet clamps below the plenum?

Checked them all today, couple of minor hisses , but even after tightening those up , still nothing.
Cant hear the turbos spooling now either , used to hear them.

    Cheers

second that ^ also take your hoses off your throttle bodies start the car and give it a few revs from under the bonnet and feel if there is heaps of air pushing out the pipes. It will run like shit but you will know if you have major turbo issues. What are the chances somethin could of been dropped in there at some stage.

and you only have stock boost gauge. Does it feel like its boosting. Earth out your safety boost solenoids. Could it just be your guage.

    I had this.

The exhaust note changed a bit into a fizz and the cat had rotated 90 degrees in the convertor effectively blocking one of the cats...

    would hardly boost...

Thanks Chrispy , was talking to drz400y about just rebuilding a new motor for me , and then adding some hypergear turbos to it as well, before putting it back in here at home.

    Cheers

I have several TT bottom ends that I can rebuild, but all the TT heads I have are baked.

2nded on blocked exhaust. Block each exhaust pipe with your hand and feel the pressure at idle. There should be a firm pulse against your hand.

Always exhaust (pardon the pun) all the simple fixes first before you assume worst case scenario. And try to work out a timeline of events, were there any recent circumstances just before this problem occured?
