    Woot!!!

An enormous thanks to all for their efforts. Was great to meet more local members too!

So engine is in, gear box in. Lots to do but it's mostly plug and pray from here.

Hope all had a great Xmas!

    Gareth

    Progress

    Just a quick update...

Been a busy monkey. Work gets in the way so only time for a few hours work each afternoon before the sun goes down. also not fun being parked between a wall and another car, with an old engine and subframe on teh floor behind the car. makes it annoying.

    Anyway in the last week:
    hooked up wiring looms
swapped rear sub frame (biatch of a job!)
    installed driveshaft
hooked up ac lines, dryer, condenser
    installed SMICs and pipes
    new hoses for oil cooler
    installed starter motor
    installed exhaust
    installed clutch pedal
    changed steering rack boots

    still to do:
    install mufflers
    bleed clutch
    hook up vacuum lines
    hook up boost lines
    install EBC
    cut brake pedal
    swap ECU
    water hardpipes and radiator
    install front bar
    fill fluids

Hope to crank it for first time tomorrow night if I get a decent run. :D

    fingers crossed

awesome work gareth, very jealous of what your doing! & to think you wanted it to fall off the truck on the way over... think this is a better result!

okay another big day, not much to go. fired her up but instantly stalled (no vac lines yet).

    Still to do
    rebleed clutch (first attempt fail)
    boost lines
    ebc
    vac lines
    radiator/coolant
    front bar on

so ***should*** be running tonight. then off to the exhaust shop (new mufflers), wheel allignment, paint (front bar, mirrors, spoiler), and the rego shop.

for anyone thinking of doing a NA auto --> TT 5 speed swap, i suggest you have a daily driver that is not your zed, a garage, quality tools, and plenty of time. I had non of these and has been, honestly, a major pain. it's taken all of my time and energy and is weeks overdue. Were it not for the help of local perth members (who are awesome) I would have stood no chance...
