Reverse parking sensors + display arrived mid-week. Completed installation on front bar yesterday. Observations-at first sensors kept triggering-reason was manufacturer recommends .5metre min. height installation-which is about half way up a Z's bonnet! I mounted 2 in the top grill at 300mm + 2 on the side Turbo bar vents at 200mm. The lower side sensors were the problem-solution-I covered half the sensor with 3mm sponge tape-the type you use to fix stuff to the dash etc. It has to be aerated, otherwise if solid tape is used it triggers the sensors. Fortunately the unit came with plenty of tape for fixing the LED display + processing unit. The height would not have been such a problem if I drilled the senors higher into the bar[circular hole drill supplied with unit]. But I didn't want to drill any holes thru my newly painted bar! The LED display fits nicely onto the centre dash bar-just stick it on with the double sided tape. The processor went in the engine bay-no other choice because of limits to sensor wire length. I wired it to the radoi circuit with a separate led switch in dash. The LED display gives coloured bar graphs left + right with audible alarm + distance display in red to 1.5 metres. So far its been working well. Value for $30 on Ebay.

    Parking....

Parking was never like this...!! Thankfully, my installation heights are much more realistic and have had mine operational for some time now...only prob is that I haven't got around to finishing the metal support plates I'm fitting above and below the front splitter; finishing touch will be filling-in and strengthing the fibreglass and filling/repainting the split caused previously from hitting those a-cursed 'parking' blocks some clever designer thought up for shopping centres...just hope one day he/they buy an Enzo and smash the bejabbers out of the front bar!!:D:D
