Out with the old K & N pod filter & in with the new A3 pod filter! A3 pod filter is only about 5mm longer than K & N so too bad. cheers Zenx
Yes , l know they are washable , l think you wash them with some kind of oil , and l've heard that the zeds dont like the oil , l was told that the dry filters are better , oh well all done now , so time to take the z and the girl friend for a cruise .. later zenx . p.s after all its valentines day ... lol
"zeds dont like the oil" if your talking about the afm hot wire not likeing oil contamination, and causing problems, you should read this. http://www.knfilters.com/MAF/MAFTestresults.htm and this http://www.knfilters.com/MAF/massairfindings.htm
I'm still not convinced. No testing was done over a long period of time. Anyway, oiled filters are illegal and have to be serviced properly to work properly. I'll stick with my Apexi's.
Thanks beaver, had a quick look at it but is MUCH TOO TECHNICAL for me....lol. I dont have a problem with K & N filters just that i have been told that the A3 are better.... In all honestly, i just got back from a cruise with the girls (My Z & girlfriend...lol) went from tarneit to Jan Juc and car ran sweet so i have got no probs with the changeover...,. zenx ps. we had a lovely romantic lunch at the beach (torquay)..... pie & coke....hehehehhehe :zlove: pss. bought my other "gal" a gift as well...high octane petrol.... (g/friend is shitty cause cost more for petrol than lunch...lol) ppss. to all you "Z" peoples - would have been the "perfect" day for GOR cruise today....
isn't that 3A filter an oil type, exactly the same as the K&N? I had a 3A one on my old zed, which looked identical to that, with the same box.. and it was an oil type too..
