    Hey folks,

I got my group buy dump pipes in the post this morning and apon inspection I discovered this small ding I assumed caused by postage mis-handleing given the condition of the box.

I'm not pissed about it and i've been assured that they will be replaced if I want it, but i'm just wondering if I should bother.
One one hand yes they are "damaged" and that's not what I paid for, but on the other it would take several weeks minimum I would guess to get a replacment and would the small size of the dent make any difference whatsoever to flow or performance?

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't but i'm just a little paranoid.

    Thoughts? opinions?

highly doubt such a small dent will effect flow, have a look at the bottom of your exhaust im sure you will see much worse ^_^

    agree

not worth the bother, a small ding like that's not going to affect the flow at all. Just my opinion. :zlove:

I know about the possible steering shaft rubbing, is that why you beat the crap out of them?

Or were they talking too much sass? ;)

If you're really worried about it, just poke a socket extension bar in from the flanged end, and give it a few gentle taps with a hammer(that'll knock bump out in one or two hits).:zlove:

    Tap it out

Agree, it would be easy enough to tap out, but I wouldn't use a socket extension. Get a thick pad of fabric and lay on the bench, an old jumper or towel or something folded up. Lay the pipe on it with the open end of the flange up and the dent resting on the fabric. Then get a piece of wood, rounded at the end so it's got no sharp corners. The rounded end of a broomstick cut off to suitable length would do and the just gently tap the dent out. You could even wrap more rags around the end of the wood to ensure no marks. If it happened in the post it can't be too hard to tap it out again. good luck.

Cra-Z-Boy no nissan at all :(

There is a good chance the first time they heat up it will pop out .
If it had a point mark in the dint I would get it replaced but there isnt anything to worry about with that dint

Thanks guys i'm pretty much made up my mind to just keep them.
I'll try to pop it out if I can but i'm not too worried about it.

Chances are i'd go to return them and they would have no stock for 3 months lol.

Now i'm just waiting for someone else from the group buy to say with 100% certainty that they fit up without bashing either them or the car.
