Hey guys I'm looking at getting back into the zed game and found myself a tidy looking Tt blacktop that seems to tick all the boxes. Of course being a zed I'm paranoid about problems that will end up costing me more dollars down the track (almost a certainty but hey). So am holding off pulling the trigger for the time being. Basically I went to check the car out and old mate had it up on a hoist at the time as work was being done on it which gave me a good chance to have look at the under carriage in great details. Everything looks ok, all straight no damage I could see. I did however notice a couple of leaks. Firstly one located around the pod filter. I couldn't find a source for it, it was a red oil fluid building up on the splash guard in front of the radiator under the intake piping. Another was an oil leak collecting centrally on the car at the point where the plastic splash guard bolts to the under carriage. Looking up into the bay I could see the oil forming up on the edge of one of the pulleys and likely dripping off that point. Obvious I'm not the most mechanically minded person and these descriptions are probably pretty dodge, but if anyone has any idea of what I'm on about should I be super concerned? Cheers!
Usually the high pressure hoses that go, where the metal crimp meets the hose. CarCraze on the forum is selling replacement hoses very cheap: eBay link Not a big job to replace, just fiddly, bit messy and involves getting under the car.
