Hi I was just wondering if its possible if the cam covers weren't tight or the cam gasket knackered it would cause pooling of oil in the spark plug galleries?

Just changes the plugs and a couple had oil on, just on the threads but not on the tip of the plug. Car is not burning any oil.

    Cheers

Best way to find out would be to look down the spark plug gap above the head with the plug still in tight. If you see oil sitting there a good bet would be it's leaking external to the head. The plug seals into the head so internal ring related oil leaks would have no way of getting above the plug seal.

It's possible(and entirely probable)that the oil is from a leaking Cam Cover gasket(I experienced this on the left-hand bank on my car, several years ago). Replaced gaskets and had no issues since that time.:zlove:
