Hi there, Has anyone used this OFFSET Calculator? How good is it? I tried putting in 370Z stock wheel specs (+15 says the guy selling) and it says they won't fit in the Z32 guards. Not even close. If you guy's don't mind, will you feed it your wheel specs and see if you think it is accurate, thanks if you do. http://www.tyresizecalculator.com/tyre-wheel-calculators/wheel-offset-backspace-calculator
Assuming you're talking about these wheels: Because they're the only 370 wheels with a +15 offset... 18x8 +43 18x9 +15 The fronts will probably need a 15-20mm spacer, and the rears may need a slight bit of stretch, rolled guards and possibly a degree or two of negative camber, as they would poke about 10mm out of the guard EDIT: The OFFSET calculator you're using only calculates the OFFSET and BACKSPACE of the wheels. It didn't show guard clearance or anything like that. This is a much better OFFSET calculator to use. http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator
Yes Logan, Those wheels. I assumed the guy gave the wrong specs. Since you quoted the same then it must have been accurate. Anyway, the 350z wheels are much more compatible with a stock Z32, so I will look at them.
Thanks for that picture Logan. Those must be newer model 350z wheels, or are they 17's Apparently RyZan says his 350z wheels aren't flush enough. But his look better flush than the pic you just posted. Planning to look at the style like Ryzan, think +33 or +30 offset.
A couple mm offset can easily be fixed with spacers. I like a more conservative offset 'cause I can fit chunky tyres without having to pull the top of the wheel in
Went to look at some 350z wagon wheels (18's) 8" & 8.5" front & rear. it was a tyre place and on the phone it sounded like they were keen to get rid of them. They were badly marked up and the tyres had cuts (so new tyres needed). Saw my car outside and decided that the discount that was hinted on the phone wasn't applicable. Well my money walked out the door Went to look at another set 8" & 8" wheels had 30 & 33 offsets. So I was going to add a spacer depending on chunkiness of tyres (as suggested above). Turned out they were 17" So a set of 18" private sale (spotless with 50% tread on good tyres) turned out the advert was innacurate on both points. So gave up on the wagon wheels. I did see a set of 370z wheels with chunky tyres. The guy selling told me they would stick out,, 'this much' yep no chance. A guy selling his 8.5"+35 & 9.5"+35 (with stretched tyres) , I am not sure about the stretched tyres but none of the wheel offset calculators tell me these will fit with standard guards. So trying to arrange a test fit. Not easy picking out wheels.
Those sizes/offsets will fit great with stock guards & won't require stretch/camber/spacers/etc. Only potential issue is clearing front brake calipers & that depends on spoke design
They'll fit fine. Fronts will need spacers to sit flush, as they'll be very sunken. Rears will sit pretty sweet. These are 9.5 +32, so yours will be inside the guards an extra 3mm
Unfortunately those wheels just moved to the gold coast. They are on a 200sx. My rear guards must be narrow because they just tried a 9" wheel with +25 as a test (actually a +35 over a 10mm spacer) and it hit. So taking the spacer out now.
What size tyres? And how low are you? That would extend an extra 4mm over the 9.5 +35 anyway. What did it hit?
