Just me and Uncle Dave out there again on Sunday, ZX2NV still using the lame excuse about having no engine in his zed:eek: Big well done to Dave for finishing first in class yet again to wrap up the championship for his class with 3 rounds remaining. I finished 3rd in class with a best lap of 1.54.01 after softening up the teins a bit and pushing harder through turn 1.

Ha ha nice one JT but she does still have the engine in the car it just doesnt go good (see autosalon magazine issue 59 1min 20 at wakie:eek: ) I am out for the rest of this year due to moving etc and also building the killer engine and doing the widebody kit and a heap of custom mods etc so is easier to keep it under wraps and get it all done ready to slaughter all next year. :D :D

I will get out to the next few rounds though

Top effort JT, a 1:54 at the creek is great time and congrats to Dave for the
class championship, just goes to show what a zed can do in relatively standard form.

Hey the Penny just dropped a 1min 54 is a great time John well done mate thats a new PB isnt it. Nice one.

Well done to the super trooper Dave in the NA machine thats a great result and once again goes to show how good the stock zed actually is.

BE careful Dave next year they will put sandbags in your car to slow you down.

    I think its a PB.

I was doing "about" 1.54s (hand timed) before I messed with my suspension settings for the last ill fated Supersprint at EC. I reckon there Is still a couple of seconds improvement in my times as I was held up a bit on my quickest lap and also still havent done alot of laps around EC. Also the suspensions setup is not perfect but better than last time after playing around with some settings. Uncle Dave in his NA going through turn one without having to brake beforehand at around 190kph showing the stock suspension works pretty damn good!

Dave has big balls thats for sure damn thing handles well I think for 18 year old ish stock gear.

BTW I still have nightmares about turn 6 at EC after the incident :D

Hehe, you guys crack me up!!

Thanks for all the kind words. The Zed certainly is a wonderfull beast!!

I think for next year I'll run in Type 2 and use some minor suspension mods to better my times. ie, I think I'll get rid of the 18 year old shocks and put some new ones in!! Hehe....

    Cheers,
    Dave.

Well done John, that's a couple of seconds quicker than last time. Just some more tuning with the balance of the car and you''ll be quicker again. I still feel that you balance front to rear with spring rates need to be changed. ie, a softer rear setup. Perhaps just a roll bar adjustment is in order first, make the rear softer than the front to get rid of the twitchy feeling.

Unfortunately I went over a second slower than last time at "The Creek" even though I was able to take turn 1 flat out this time. My tyres have really been shagged for the last couple of rounds and they've had too many heat cycles put through them. That's my excuse anyway for being a little slower this time !! Hehe... Luckily I now hold lap records for all 4 tracks for Type 1 2001cc - 3000cc class. :zlove:

    Cheers,
    Dave.
