Another great day with Zed owners talking about zed cars. Met some new owners for the first time and everyone was fantastic. Even met the infamous Fate. The National Park drive is just down the raod and is my usual run for a bit of fun.
Someone mentioned Newcastle. Bring it on.
Hope to see ya all next time.

It turned out to be a great day and the weather was on our side even though rain was predicted earlier in the week. Love driving though the Royal Natio

I saw a couple of new zeds and a few new faces which is always nice to see.

I brought a camera along but I was to busy chatting to take pictures.

I can't believe I missed it, :angry: I was so upset I couldn't get my car going all Sunday the hose from the radiator connention crumbled and the car over heated. $300 bucks later and I have my car back today.

PLEASE organise another one I can't wait to catch up with you all.

Terry so sorry for not calling I was to pissed off that the last thing was to have my mobile near by.

Anyways glad to hear you all had a blast.

$300 for a radiator hose, thats a bit steep or was there something else. Which hose crumbled, top,bottom or one of the little one's behind the pump.

Hey Haylz...Did you...

...have to get your rear guards rolled to get those rear rims on? They are 9.5" wide right?

Reason I want to know is because I have the same rims and I want to lower my car an inch or so...but I'm not sure if I'll have to get the rear guards rolled...

yeah i did and yes they are

i got them rolled when i first put the rims on the car and that was before it was lowered.

you can go more than an inch!!!! :thumbsup:

Yeah, I would go lower than an inch if I didn't get the bodykit. But the kit actually lowers the car a lot more than stock...so if I try to lower the springs more than an inch I'll be scraping all over the place!

radiator hoses

I was charged 125 for both radiator hoses however i know my mechanichs so i get cost price this the RRP wass much higher around 175 i think plus labour for small jobs minimum charge is normally one hour. not a huge difference between those prices and the charge mentioned. If you get a small mechanic that does not have the resouces it is highly common they charge above RRP

Your talking two hoses & I think from the post, that she's talking about ONE hose replacement. Thats twice the cost.

Its the lip from the radiator that crumbled where the clap comes around the hose........if that makes any sense!

I think we all thought from your first post that it was the Hose.:unsure:
But now that you've said that it was the Radiator end cap, to the hose, Yes I can see how that would cost so much.
End Cap $99
Remove & Replace plus remove the radiator to do the job, well yeah $200 easy.
And we used to think that Doctors, Dentists & Lawyers were expensive.:LOL::LOL::LOL:
