Just wondering if this is somthing i should get looked at or if it happens on all Z's.

When the car is in 2nd and 4th there is a lot of noise comming throught the gear box like a sucking sound. that is not there when the car is in 1st 3rd and 5th. Is this just due the the positioning of the gear stick or is it somthing more?

    just wondering.

It's the rubber boot for the gearbox lever ....

It has not been correctly fitted.

    Details ....

Use this Shifter Bush Replacement Tech but stop at step 5 (you can also skip step 4 because you'll have enough room with the panel attached to your shifter).

Then use the instructions in Step 8 to correctly fit your boot.
