Confused about Nissan 300ZX TT Garret OEM Turbos. I have owned a Z32 300ZX Twin-Turbo coupe for several years now. I read conflicting Tech information on these turbos in which some claim they are T22/T2 others claim they are T25/T2. Another thing they claim is that they have a ceramic compressor turbine rotor.While others claim that they have inconnel metal compressor turbine rotor. What is the truth ? I know the Skylines have ceramic compressor turbine rotor which puts rec. advice limits on there max boost pressure [12 psi]
VG30DETT turbo's definitely do not have ceramic turbines. I'm not 100% what they are made from, could be inconel. They will do well over 12psi that's for sure IIRC it's a T22/T2.
