    Thanks artin

I got a quote for custom plates to fit the stock bar from the rta site in vic to my design, cost was around $500,ripoff imo, must be something that fits in the recess thats a little less expensive.

    Plates

In QLD, you get the USA style for the rear which fits perfectly and USA slimline for the front... looks awesome and you don't need to bend or twist!

$395 for colour matching 3 letter/2 number combo... Worth it in my opinion as it makes the car look so much better being same colour as your car!

    Front (USA slimline style)

    Oh and yeah

on the topic, your plates are not too bad! If you like them and they mean something to you, then that's what counts... :)

    Another pic...

Had to use big-ass bolts on the front to fit it in though - think they were 60mm long?

JP = Jason P my initials so i figure JPZ300 could read as JP's 300 or JP Z300

Will get the Skinny white with black boarder - will have to bend the sides to fit in the back.

    Personal Plates

If anyone is going to pay out $500 per year to have personal plates, you might as well get them in a different colour so they stand out, if your going to get something the same near colour like your car paint it wont stand out as much, your paying a hefty price for them per year so make them stand out.

My car paint is white and I did have personal plates with a red background with white writing and stood out like it was something to look at,

    My opinion only

    Wrong there mate.

ONE: It's a once only payment and their yours. Zilch extra following years - just normal registration. If they were $500 per year - nobody would have them!

TWO: I reckon that the same colour looks good - gives a smooth flow to the rear bar, plus you can't say that the numbers don't stand out enough! Though a different colour will stand out more, I've had lots of compliments about how good the same colour background melts in with the car...

    Plates

In NSW its $500 per year its not a once off payment, every state has there own RTA rules. Yes thats every year. rip off yes, thats why I went back to standard plates. Your car looks cool:cool:

Ademon - the prices range between plate types and how personalised. For me its only $90 a year for the slim fit white ones because theirs 3 letters + 3 numbers etc, its around 470 a year if i wanted to get "Drongo" haha... yeah

    OUCH!

Flamin' heck! Lucky for us up here in QLD then hey? If you have to keep paying that per year  then the slimline for $90 with 3 letters + 3 numbers might be the go...

Though then again, I don't think I'd buy them if I had to keep paying up each year! Over 10 years, that's would be $1000 or more (I'm sure they'll put the price up) that could go into another part of the beast!

BTW sorry for saying you were wrong when you weren't ADEMON  and thanks for the compliment! ;)

5 letters or less in vic plates are the go

5 letter/numberplates are a smaller size in vic plate.they are about 60 mm smaller than extra numbers.vicroads site has a link which tells you the exact dimensions of the different plates.the 5 letters or less will fit in without having to bend or cut them,si:zlove:
