Thought i'd show off my new autometer twin gauge pillar mount (with thanks to fleet) :D :D :D The mount fitted like a glove - no shaving or anything needed! worth the $80 odd that i paid for it. Has a couple of cheap gauges in it at the moment but will be upgrading to smoke faced ones soon. Hope you like :zlove:

Thats the only place i could put it, because of the mould of the mount they are designed to sit that far back, any further up the pillar the base of the mount will stick out.

get those gauges wired up u lazy bugger :D Only takes an hour or so...

really? wasnt sure what was involved but it lokos like i have bigger problems now :S

well anyway i think the law is that guages cannt protrude any further then the steering wheel or else it obstucts the drivers vision.

depends on what gauges you have, i've got boost and water temp. both have +/- and light wires, the boost needs to be attached to a vacuum hose in the engine bay and the water temp sender is attached to the upper radiator pipe via a connector you get from autobarn for about $40./.
I think the legality of the placement of the gauges also has to do with the fact that if your in an accident they cant be anywhere where you might smash your head on them (safety) hense being right down the pillar
I was reading about ur turbo probs - not cool :( hope you get it sorted out, if all alse fails upgrade :D
