    Hey guys

New to the forum and started my build today so here's two birds with one stone. Name is Brad I'm a spray painter from Melbourne and a new owner of a 1992 2+2 Targa Top Twin Turbo Zed.

Its not much chop at the moment Body is 4 different shades of black terrible paintwork from the previous owner so many corners cut which doesn't phase me too much as its my trade. I have started removing the body panels as all will receive an attack with the paint stripper and sander back to bare metal and start fresh. Still deciding on the top coat but heading towards staying with black and getting some purple pearl in to highlight. The rear has also been converted into a Brazilian

The engine isn't currently running was told it has a broken crank but we tried cranking it over yesterday and it wants to crank but not fire so after a word with the mechanic at work doesn't believe its broken, so starting off with a spark and injector check this week and go from there, otherwise it will be pulled out and replaced with another TT block that I know is running, Until I piece together everything for a VH45 conversion.

It is currently auto but after a hefty conversation with zed74 (Richard) he is supplying me with a full manual conversion which I cant wait to undertake.

He is also sending me down his tein coilovers, which will be a nice starting point for me.
It is currently sitting on 17x9.5s all round with Yokohama tyres I'm loving the width.

like all builds the list of upgrades and things to do is massive and this is a good start for now..

So hi to all and look forward to cruising with some of you when it's finally on the road.

    Welcome to our insanity.

Either rebuild the VG30DETT for more power or something like this if you want V8 and want to go slower and be inducted into the YMCA. :p

If you got access to the trade you can rebuild at a reasonable price, or the OP of the V8 thread can also do long blocks and turbo rebuilds at Australia's best price and quality.

Either way give the ginger man a call/PM.

Heres some of his stuff: http://www.a2zed.com.au/?q=customers

He does full OEM part rebuilds drive in/out for $4900 and turbo rebuilds for $2300 drive in/out. So with out fit/remove labor, plus freight even less. He probably can sell you a rebuild kit as well. He has also had bit to do with a local VH45/300ZX swap.

Bit of fuel pressure and boost and NISTune and they wont get a chance to notice it doesn't sound as good as a V8.

Either way good luck and welcome.

    Anti 14.7 x 14.7 = 44.1

Don't mean to be rude, but if you're fully respraying it, replacing the motor and doing a transmission conversion... what exactly did you buy this one for?

I bought this coz it was cheap, The previous paint job on this is freaking terrible and if I knew who painted it I would love to give a piece of my mind. Painting is my thing its not a massive task for me, the engine conversion is still up in the air for now and would be like any other conversion?? coz I can?? coz theyre not optioned with what you want in the car that you can get??

good luck with the build man. since your already prepared for heaps of modifying, ditch the V8 idea and go for a VQ30 single turbo.
