Need some advice , want to get a cheep PDA to run datascan and other z related programs in the car. Im sure some of you have this setup already , so , what brand and model do you guys use??? I know theres some doubts that the USB versions wont work ( i have a USB cable from Caz for the laptop) , but does anyone have a working PDA /USB setup??? Cheers and thanks Patrick
I'm using the HP iPaq H5550 Also have the Blazt PDA cable and serial consult cable. I run ecutalk on the pda, runs fine. Can log sensors, error code checks etc, much more portable than me dragging my laptop everywhere I go. Only problem is that you can't have too many guages on display because it's hard to read them all on a small screen.
Some info I run a HP H5550. Cheap, reliable, big screen and has wi-fi & bluetooth. Works really well! Here's my PDA install thread: http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?p=497590#poststop And here is a thread with a PDA and bluetooth: http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=272113 p.s. you won't be running datascan on the PDA. You'll most probably be wanting to use ECUTalk (awesome program!).
