Has anyone fitted one of these front bars. As you can see it doesn't seem to fit the gaurds properly. Need some advice on how to correct this problem. Your help would be greatly appericated. [IMG]

Looks like a bad fitting bumper! Prob not the best mould.
A bodyshop will be able to make it fit up straight, but if your doing it yourself, you will need to cut and re-glass the areas that need attention.

A bit hard to tell in the pics but it does look as though it a pretty crap fit. The corners dont even line up.

If you got it from a shop, i would see if they can swap it over. Other wise just give it a shot yourself.

geez jeremy ur such an expert arnt ya:p Jeremys right it is a c1 and its a bad mould at that, serious man id be taking that bar back and getting my money....Its alot of time to re glass and mould that gap, so your best off if you can return it and find another place that have the bar your after that fits well. Quite possibly but has your car been hit at all as the slightest knock on the 1/4 can cause gaps into cm's on the front, just a thought.

    anyways man good luck

hey mate seems common with this kit.
i thought mine was bad when i got mine, it turned out though that mine had a bit of a prior accident.

there's a couple of ways you can do it, depends how you want your car to look. one option is to reglass etc. and bulk it up a bit, then trim. the other option is for if you want the kit permanently fitted.
you can bolt it to the car, then glass it to your existing guards etc. and get rid of the seam, so it looks like a complete one piece including guards.

    just a couple of options.
but as others have said, if recently bought, see if you can swap it over or work out some kind of deal, cos that is an exceptionally poor fit.
    cheers

my veilside c1 bar sits exactly the same as that, whoever put it on got a section of about 35mm aluminium square tube made up and it sits on the stock reo bar, this lifts the bar to sit flush with the gaurds but then it sits slightly above the lowest part of the headlights, basically the top of the bar is the wrong shape and that is the best you can get it to look, i'm pising mine off and getting another one, it gives me the shits

All you need to do is go down to Supercheap or Autobarn and buy Septone Body Filler and a fibre glass repair kit. And for any small patches that need to be fixed up get some blade putty. I put my bodykit on myself after I was quoted $800 or so for fitting. After you've put a think layer on, you then need to sand it and smooth it out.

i was contemplating doing that to mine, but to get the curves on both sides to match would be a mission, far easier just to bail the crappy bar and buy one that fits properly imo
