Alrighty so the story goes like so; I was on my p's and was steadily doing up my red NA when i saw this nice orange TT come up for sale over a year ago, i thought nah i still have another year on my p's before i can drive and plus its an auto (i didnt want auto). So anyway about 10 months later i decided that after spending about 20k on my NA that the TT was what i really wanted so i got in contact with Kieren and went and had a look. Turn up at Kierens place and there it is sitting in the driveway in all its glory, orange and gold pearl and straight as an arrow, got to talking about the mods and then went for a drive, i bought it a few days later after waiting for approval to extend my loan and have 2 Zeds. I only had 2 Zeds for 3 weeks as i had the NA up for sale. No one was biting on here but a friend bought it for $8400. Then the focus was on the TT the cosmetics were basically stock so as you can see in the pics i've been busy. I havent had to worry about anything mechanical as everything has been kept to the highest standard by Kieren and Eric at A2ZED, kudos guys! I changed the wheels over the night i got it (in pouring rain) for roadworthy the next day. The guy that done the RWC is a friend of my old mans and is a 300ZX collector and he said that its the cleanest Zed hes ever seen including all his own. I put on the stillen lip from Ztoy and drove around for a few weeks, then slowly got tint and wheels and a few other things. New targa seals are great, no wet ass when it rains. Anyway enough blabbin, heres some pics:
Get that lip painted and you've got a clean zed! Only one pick up, you've got an Aus Spec front bar on a zed thats clearly an import. Maybe been in a front end accident?
What are you smoking? Aus spec = na. Had a tt front last time I saw it. Im guessing the lip spoiler hasn't had holes cut yet Edit, looks like it does have ic slots
Yeah my bad, i remember seeing that combination somewhere and bought it a few months back, then i was on here and saw your name and i was like.... shit i stole this dudes plate combo!! Sorry man. How is it Aus spec?
It's the J-spec parking antenna that I replaced with the UHF antenna. I then got a laser window antenna and put the parking antenna back. That hole is factory No way would I go drilling into my beautiful car! So jealous about those wide tyres too. I never really got to know what full boost traction was like
Beautiful looking car mate. Love the look with stillen lip:zlove: Exactly what i want when chevzed starts making them. I see what bRACKET means about no square holes where the number plate brackets normally go, is that the difference between aus and j-spec
It's definately a jspec bar guys the number plate is mounted on the bracket that goes through the 2 holes cut in the front bar. I believe aus spec doesnt have the bracket there and you just screw the plate to the bar.
If Aus-specs dont have the slots cut out, then why does 2 of my TT from bars, 1 which came off a j-spec and the other brand new, not have the slots cut out either?
first half of what you said is right, aus specs have a different bracket that goes through one of the openings to bolt up to something behind.
JDM has the slots cut for the bracket to slide through, this is behind the number plate so you can't see it on that car. Auspec and USDM do not have slots, the bracket goes into the top opening and bolts to the reo. Somewhere around 94-95, the Jspec, both NA and TT got the Aus and US style number plate brackets and lost the cut outs.
I know this is just nitpicking but it doesn't bolt to the reo, it bolts to this: ANYWAY nice pickup on the z A friend of mine was getting interested in it about the time you bought it. Hope you can get the paint code for that lip!
