    Hey all,

As most of us know, there is poor/no lower radiator hose clearance against the UAS tension rod brace when the stock radiator is used.

Can anyone confirm or deny if the above issue is rectified when using a Mishimoto TT radiator?

    Cheers

    Sam

does the mishimoto one use the stock hose inlet/outlet locations?

I also thought the clearance issues were rectified when the car was jacked up, the suspension members loosened, and everything re-torqued with the brace in place. i.e. put the brace in and tighten everything around the brace, as opposed to trying to fit it in under tension / compression.

I can confirm that it doesn't fit with a stock, or stock located, lower rad hose outletted radiator.

From memory if the radiator outlet neck is angled downwards it will interfere with the brace .Not sure which radiators have the outlet pointing straight.

    I cut/rewelded mine straight for clearance....BECAUSERACECAR

I have a twinpass radiator with the outlet directly below the inlet, half way down. I can use off the shelf ford radiator hoses now, because I'm a tightarse

Bet you don't have a UAS tension rod brace tho. Question isn't 'does the radiator fit', question is, 'does it fit with the brace'.

    The answer is no.

Looks like the lower outlet does not point downwards like stock does. In which case, it might fit with the brace.

Stock angled lower will foul on the brace.

On the Mishimoto radiator? Ebay ones look pointed down :(

The way I see it, water flowing is water flowing... Has anybody run with a slightly fouled and crushed lower hose? Any problems?

ASI def won't fit with the brace. Will fit with a PWR twinpass though.

I did notice you mentioned that in one of your threads about this topic... Any chance you got a part number for this specific PWR radiator? I couldn't pick it on the website...

I run a 53mm Koyo radiator with a UAS Tension Rod Brace without any problems(it's close but not an issue).:):br:

Coz has said that Koyo's and mishi's are very similar - infact the rad brackets he makes fits both the Koyo's and Mishi's which means they could be quite alike dimension wise

Which kind of brings us back to the original question... But still, is the pipe on the Mishi angled or straight to clear the brace?

    mishi angled down

koyo not angled as much which is why chili just gets a way with it

Nice wiper blades, dont forget to refinish your wiper arms in a non glosss finish other wise you could cop a defect. :D :br:
