Well, the w.end is over and was only a few of us for the tech day that turned into a mini tech day. I cant believe how bad the roads are in Mackay....pot hole after pot hole Arrived fri arvo and settled in then Marklar, my friend and I went to get some fish n chips to try to warm up, then spent few hrs in town having drinkies and a good laugh at the Austral pub then into town playing pool til early hrs of the morning. Marklar and I witnessed a classic moment when a guy at the next table had spilled his drink over his lap and had told his friends at the table he felt abit embarrassed so the other guy sitting opposite him asked him "why do u feel embarrassed...then proceeded to spill his drink over his own lap, so his mate didnt feel out of place hahahah Now thats what mates do in a time of need lol Sat had the zed gathering BBQ lunch at Scrubbers house and drinkies with everyone. We all went on a nice cruise thru Mackay late in the arvo to take pics and scoped out couple of other zeds in the town. (Scrubber, Marklar, Grant, Shona (pink zed) and her partner Daniel with (red zed), and me. We all drove to the Port and took some really nice group shots of all our zeds :zlove: Bought some drinkies and relaxed there all nite, and then some of us watched Team America before heading to bed. Sunday got abit of a sleep in, woke to find Marklar working on his zed doing the 100k service and tracing a fuel leak for most of the day and Scrubber worked on his zed for awhile. My zed died while reversing onto the bit of concrete, so had to check and injectors and coil pack, thinking it must have just been cold and the automatic choke was playing up, got it started eventually to get a wire checked that was hanging down underneath, tucked up with magic "zip ties" lol and all is good. Shona's partner Daniel drove his red zed over to put the intercooler onto it. Grant, my friend, Shona and Daniel had left in the a'noon. I had put new bulbs in my side back lights and put a blue LED light in my boot light and noticed my stereo had died, so bought some fuses and headed back to Scrubbers. Troy installed an extra wire and fuse to the head unit for me, then we all watched dvd "Thirteen Ghosts" and headed to bed. Well, thank you to Scrubber and Marklar for your hospitality and to all of u that showed up, was great to meet u and see the zeds in person. :zlove: Ya i had fun, it was good to put faces w/ names, now i'm keen for the next one. There was an overkill of room, would have been sweet if all the peeps had of made it but ah well fun none the less, at least we had variety (2 slicktops, 3 TT's, and all different colours) For my zed's first run in 2 years it held up great, sept for the squeeky belt (fixed now ) count me in for the next one, top stuff.
