Maxxed Out AFM, Risk of Running Lean?

    Hey guys,

Running GT525s on 19psi (recently upped from 17psi). Chipped ECU for 550cc injectors.

My ECUTalk max values are now showing 5.04V AFM and I'm reaching 94% IDC.

Car is a complete animal, breaks traction on WOT at will. My Knocklite seems okay and I'm running 50psi base fuel pressure for added safety. Spark plug readings are normal.

My question is now that I'm at the limit of the AFM do I risk leaning out or will the extra fuel pressure keep things safe as boost increases?

Dyno planned to be sure but interested to hear your thoughts.

    Cheers,

    Martin

    Anti 14.7 x 14.7 = 44.1

People can take a stab for you, but no way to know 'til it's on a dyno.

Fair enough, thanks for the turbos by the way - they're awesome!

So it turns out max AFM voltage is 5.12 so there's a tiny bit of wiggle room. Has anyone reached this point and were there any issues?

5.12v on the afm will cause the ecu to reference the top right corner of the map, ie highest load point. If you had more injector to play with and if the timing map was safe you could up it a bit. However at 94% i wouldnt go any higher.

ha! Totally didn't click with me they were my old ones. Good to see they don't mind eating bits of piston :p
