This is a general notice to all Z owners of potentially a great opportunity to get your hands on a bargain. I was contacted by Chris today. He's not a forum member but is clearly just as crazy about Z's as the rest of us (if not more). He's a retired chap that has been playing with all manor of Z cars for more than a decade, and in that time has amassed and enormous stock pile of Z parts in a Moorebank (Sydney) warehouse. Now he's been given notice that it all has to be gone by the 26th of this month (October). Instead of describing it in my own words (I haven't been there), I'll just post a copy of his letter to me just below with some accompanying photos. He told me he'd prefer that it went to a good home than just going to scrap so get in, take a trailer or a truck and make him an offer. The rolling shell in the photos apparently has new paint and just need a clear coat.....would be a shame to see all of this get melted down. For privacy reasons I haven't posted his contact details so if you want them and the address please PM me and I'll pass them on. Marcus
holy **** Why does all this stuff have to come up when im going overseas?! Can you please Pm me his details? Ill see if I can get a chance to make a quick trip up.
**** my eyes hurt looking at all that stuff, hopefully he sells most of it, be a shame too see it go to the metal merchants for scrap.
How on earth is this gentleman NOT been a forum member ? ...So many parts, so little time ...and ...so far awayyy.
More information.... I asked Chris about the cars and if they were running etc. and this was his reply:
I've been here twice. Fair to say a LOT of stuff, but mostly stock stuff. Some of the rarer stuff such as Bose speaker boxes and mud flaps are there.
Yeah I've been there once before also. I think he posted up on this forum some time ago (maybe 6 to 12 months). Drove all the way out there and he was a no show. Called multiple times. No return calls. Spoke to the guys at the end of the complex and couldn't help.
Still worth a look for anyone needing something, especially as he's very motivated to move this stuff since new owners are taking the site.
Yep, that was the same story last year. I'm keen to have a look also, but he needs to be there when he says he's going to be.
Definitely. I'd be making sure you've made contact before taking the drive. I believe there are some heading over there on Friday, maybe they can provide some feedback.
Looks like one of the rolling shells is on eBay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nissan-3...-/301350893653?pt=AU_Cars&hash=item4629e9b855
No offence but why would you collect large amounts of well used stock bits from undesirable models? Sounds like he has collected all this stuff for free or cheap over the years. Hope somebody gets a bargain anyway.
Maybe he's doing an annual thing - rugs a million clear out, this weekend only, prices slashed! Maybe it's actually a secret massive ghay event?
