I owned a Jowett Jupiter once

a true two seater sports car. Still couldn't get more than 30 quid for it.

and in my opinion,so long as you dont regret your choice, and you got a quality z then you made the right choice!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2 seaters are nicely shaped, and i think the 2+2 looks great as well, its just 2 different schools of thought on the same basic design principle
i personally think the only thing about the 2 seaters which isnt "perfect" is the cluttering up around the rear window with the fuel filler flap so close, but thats a very minor criticism in my book, otherwise, smicko!

I am only talking in terms of the marketability

not desirability, though I personally prefer the lines of the 2+2.

My point is that a manual 2+2 TT would take no time at all to sell, while a similar quality 2 seater would hang around for quite a while. Even 2+2 autos shift faster from my observation.

I MUCH prefer the 2+0's, I have a 2+2 and from the outside they look a little better. The inside of the 2+0's are much nicer and it looks like it's a sports car interior.

    ok,fair call

ps i own a 2+2 as well, but when i was buying was unfused as to getting a 2 or 2+2,for me it depended ont he car itself......very happy with my z,even if she is a little unco-operative sometimes...lol

i dont like the look of the 2+2 and it didnt give me the tight sports car cabin feeling the 2+0 gave me.

I love the look of both of them. Both look better than any other model zed...

And being 6'4" and 137kgs I get that sports car cabin feeling in my mates HSV Grange :D

    Someone has to say it....
Given that you can pick up an average Zed(32) for $K8 (or even less), I would pay no more than $K12 for a good 2-seater OR 2+2. Mint, maybe $K15.
Which means mine has depreciated $K4 in 4 years. DAMN!
Doesn't matter what mods you've done, that's ALL lost money... in fact a stock Zed will often go for more than a modded one because of the perceived thrash factor. The only thing which will bring the price up is a great service history, and then not by all that much.

Have to agree, i'd be willing to pay $20k for a mint STOCK lateish model zed but in reality id pay maybe $15k for yours.

    5K1TZX Its all never ending....

    For the tassie market...

I sold my stock rough NA for 15 at a drop of a dime.

I've spend 80+ grand getting it to where it is today and keeping it prestine. look at others on carsales for around 15 and you would get nothing compared to what i've got...15k you gotta be kidding. as SIM300 said I wouldnt let it go for less than 20k, especially if you know the quality of the ride.

Yeah, not many people want someone elses modified beast unless they're very mechnically inclined and do all their own work and can fix anything that might go wrong themselves. But in that case, they'd just buy one with a stuffed motor and fix it up themselves for much less money anyway so even that market still wont really want it.

As for the average person firstly they dont want that much power, secondly probably cant handle that much power and finally could never afford to fix anything if something does go wrong. It's very hard to make back money spent on mods, it would be better to rip all that shit out and sell it seperately then sell the car stock. It's alot of cocking around but the only real way to even come close to making any of it back.

Fair enough, i must be jaded from spending too much time looking in the NSW market for a half decent zed..
