I want to buy some Injectors and I know about Ohms (10-14) for a 300zx
Ohms is the resistance but what is Impedance and do I have to worry about when buying Injectors
Google has 30 paragraphs to do with AC current and mentions DC current but not really enlightening me a simple layman
I asked my Elec engineer at work to tell me in 10 words or less
200 words later he gave me the impression Resistance and Impedance are the same
    Thanks

Simple answer YES, get the right parts, if you are running OEM ECU.

Nismo part number 16600-RR701 is speced for the Z32 and suitable for your car.

    http://www.nismo.co.jp/en/products/competition/engine/pdf/vo_injector.pdf

They are listed as "high resistance", I would expect they fall in between the service manuals spec of 10-14 ohm.

This doc lists "high resistance" as 12-16 ohm.

    http://www.chalnet.net/Fiero/tech tips/tableifc.pdf

And here 10-16 ohm, but you get the idea.

    http://www.fuelinjectorclinic.com/injectors/technical/faq.html

There are 2 main types "low" and "high" resistance injectors, you need high.

The Nismo part is as good a quality and correct a part as you can find but they are not the cheapest.

Resistance is basically a simple version of impedance. Don't worry too much about it, just buy your injectors from CZP and you'll be fine, no chance of messing up.

You will also need to buy the adapter kit if your ZX is an early model

Yes and makes them close to $800.

If I was going to run adapters I would go the Nismo 615's for $1045US.

But personally if 555's were in range of desired power output I would and did go with the Nismo 555's, top quality, speced and designed for the VG30DETT buy the manufacturers performance arm, spray pattern is correct.

Not to say other injectors are no good, just how I approach that sort of thing.

Pic of early and late Injector / fuel rail set up please
Is it side feed verses top feed (is top feed like 350Z)
Sorry to be a Noob - where / how do the adapters come in
Deatschwerks look to be direct swap

All side feed, and from here on a can of worms, plenty of posts in the past about it, I would encourage anyone to do their own research and not take any one point of view as gospel.

My replies have been to help you get across what is involved, so you can look into the pro's and con's.

So its only the connector (electrical) on top that is different then between early and late

While both a side feeds the series2 injector has different dimensions. You need the kit to fit series 2 injectors into the early series 1 fuel rail. The Deatschwerks link you gave shows the adapter kit .

It's the mounting spots that's different too, I think...
