How many zed's have you owned?

So I've had 2 cars for while now; my zed, plus my Daihatsu Cuore. I recently sold the Daihatsu to free up space for something better.

Speaking to some of the lads at work, when I told them I had 2 cars, they looked at me rather perplexed. Why would one man own two cars?

I then told them that I intend on buying another zed, and they were even more confused, why would I want 2 of the same car?

Most of my friends only have 1 car, and these are "car" guys as well.

Is it really that odd for one guy to own 2 cars?
How many cars do you guys have?
and more importantly, how many zed's have you owned; both at one time, and over your car history?

 

Have owned three at the same time, not one of them made it back onto the road ever.

I believe Ryzan takes the cake with about 14-15 Z's.

 

I have owned about 12, Only 4 of them made it back onto the road. Rest may lie in peace in the zed parts store in the sky.

 

ive owned well over 10 zeds, and a bunch of other cars ranging from geminis to commodores and falcons, pulsars and lasers

most cars ive ever owned simultaneously was 5, being 4 300zx and a falcon (yellow convertible licensed, white tt licensed, red aus-spec wreck for parts, silver tt for parts, falcon as a runabout)

alot of the time i also had a company car on top of those cars as well.

i used to work in a caryard though, so i was used to being around alot of cars all the time lol.

Had 2 part out 300zx
2 runners 300zx (1 i still own)
1 rx7 (still own)
3 tx3 lasers (1 i still own)
1 suziki swift (long gone)

Current have 3 cars, not including my daily.

FC, I can't imagine 'car guys' wondering why someone would have more than one car unless they own one reliable Falcons/Commodores Ute?
Take the pigs to market on Saturday and the wife to church on Sunday.

Actually I think owning two Zeds with compatible parts is a great idea, one of them has to be working every other day.

seems almost everyone thats owned a zed owned a few extras for parts as well lol.

 

Only 2 for me.

And I have had 2 cars for most of my driving life.

 

3rd kid due this year......but I'm determined to keep the 300ZX, so about to become a 3 car family.....Z, Mazda3 SP23 will be my new daily and SUV will be wife & kid's daily.

And it's the only Z I've ever owned - since 2005.

 

Have had 8 cars that fall into the "fairlady" family. Not all Z32's though.....

Currently have 4 cars registered... a pair of Z32's and a Falcon ute in Australia and a Ford SUV in Thailand. Bit of a waste considering I was only in off work in Australia for 45 days tops last year

Wife is already talking about minime no 2.... so might have to cull the fleet further

and my work van

I thought as 25 year old that was a bit excessive so I
Sold everything except my zed and the work van .
Iv also owned 2 other zeds

 

At most I've owned 3 cars.

Most recently:
'93 Z32 TT (converted from NA)
'12 Z34
'92 Suzuki Sierra

But I've also owned (at the same time):
'89 Z32 TT
'93 Z32 NA
'92 Z32 TT (Halves with another Member as a parts car)

This is of course on top of the other cars in the household. Currently these are:
'98 CE Lancer (White) - Son #1 (Unregistered parts car)
'98 CE Lancer (Red) - Son #1 (Unregistered wreck)
'01 Sonata Classique - Son #1
'02 Getz - Son #2
'12 X-Trail T31 - Wife

We traded in the Sierra and the Dualis on the X-Trail, so yes that means right now, there are 7 cars here. Plus visitors of course. I quite often get people saying this place is like a caryard. If we can get rid of the Lancers, then I get my workshop back

This is nothing on ChilledPain. I think he's up to 19 Z32's, or something like that. I think he's had about 5 at most one time.

Started with the 97 as my first car. Picked up an 89 TT for wreaking, then got a 90 NA to flip, but my brother ended up buying it.

At the moment I've got the 97, an E36, R31 drift bunky and a JZX100 in Japan, waiting for me to beat on

Most I've owned at one time is 3. 2x Z32 (2+2 TT & Slicktop TT) & Audi A3 daily. Sold the 2+2 over a year ago, still got the other two cars.

 

FCT, your mates are pretend car guys if they only have 1 car.
I'm onto my second zed and have reduced my collection. Currently have 7 cars (all 90's jap turbo) and a couple sports bikes. Ideally I'll probably end up with a dozen, to complete my dream garage/shed.

Last count was 26 - not freehold - some had loans from the bank to get them
Rented a factory to keep them in
