Once all other items are off and out of the way (exhaust, heat shields - will vary from car to car of course), undo the shaft at the diff (Uni-joint or CV joint bolts), remove the centre bearing securing bolts , you may need to loosen the diff cradle bolts if you have a one-piece. The shaft should just pull out of the gearbox once it clears the diff flange.

Make sure the car is supported on stands and use plenty of safety squint :)

So you're trying to get the half shaft out of the diff? You need a slide hammer.

Or are you talking about the other side of the car? Leave the nut on the thread, then bash it with a BIG hammer. You may need to buy a new nut, a few bucks from a bolt shop will get you a nice one :)

No, not halfshafts out of the diff,

im trying to get the rear axles out of the hubs.

iv tried that, with a sledge hammer, small hammer, every hammer you can think of, tried everything with no luck

Drench in Inox/WD40/RP7 etc overnight, then bash it with a big hammer. That's the only way unless you can get a big puller on it somehow.

I have had a few that where almost impossible to get out.

One I had to put the nut back on backwards and use a sledge hammer to get it out. Another I actually replaced the HUB as well as the drive shaft cause I could get it out.

Good luck with that. Try the Innox and a big hammer as Chrispy said.

Also worth trying Freeze 'n Release spray as an alternative to lube sprays.
