how do i make my 300zx dose

    In high boost on small turbos like stock or even t28 no BOV can cause damage by twisting the turbine shaft and/or can reduce life span of the turbo thats why you shouldn't do it just for the sound. but the BMW f1 team some group B turbo rally cars, 24hr la monz cars and a lot of rotary drag cars hear found that time lost in re-compressing the air in the intake system which would be lost when using a BOV vs the time gained in keeping the turbo spinning, they found it was better to have the performance advantage of not venting the already compressed air so there are advantages but wouldn't out weigh the consequences thou.
    The curls get the girls. not doseing!

    It would be interesting to stick a high FPS camera facing the turbo blades and actually see what happens when it "doses"

    such high end race cars have fast shift times so theres not much shock on the compressor with the boost spike/compressor stall. if youre shifting fast enough you're better off without BOVs of any kind. some of those race cars shift at 0.05 seconds. blinking takes ~0.20 seconds.

    hey guys just trying to catch up on this massive convo i had read most of it but seems to be all over the place just seeing if there is a conclusion yet?? dose dosing kill the turbo?? and what about the the pressure release from a BOV does that damage the turbo as well??
