horrible plastic burning smell

same as i think vbevan was on about is happening to me also,bonnet seems to be warmer on the left side after driving also...any ideas?

 

Any melted wires?

 

have a look at all wiring

Have a good look under the bonnet while the engine is running. Make sure there is nothing rubbing against any pulleys or belts. Also see if any belts are slipping (like power steering belt) as the pulley may have come loose.

 

Check the tips of the fan blades and also the radiator upper and lower shrouds(stuffed engine mounts can allow them to come into contact with each other).:zlove:

 

Did you too install a octopus ground wire kit ?
