HAIL!!!!

Ok. so i was out at work in my mx-6 with the zed sitting at home during the day. no sign of rain yet alone hail at this point. afternoon comes and i go outside wow sky is pretty dark. next thing i hear bang bang bang.. OH SHIT!

I rushed home to put the car under cover but it was too late. in the dark so far have counted at least 50 dents. and thats just the bonnet. Furious!I will wait til tomorrow when the suns out to get some photos of the damage. but from what i can see now in the dark i really dont want to see it tomorrow.

On the topic if anyone has a spare bonnet - red or black not fussed. in brisbane region please pm i will probably need a new one.

Anyone else affected by hail damage?

 

sorry to hear... hope everything is a easy job to fix and only ur bonnet was affected...

 

shoulda got a sleeping bag and had a homeless night camp out in a carpark for the night... or put your car in a secure carpark that gets locked up at midnight

 

I hope for your sake that is is just the bonnet... if its the whole car it'll cost a bit to fix...

 

Surely you should be covered by your insurance?? Sorry to hear it got damaged tho.... Just cant really trust the weather man lately - we shouldve got that storm two - three days ago.... if we are in for another one - everyone get your cars undercover!!!!

 

They may write it off too depending how many panels are damaged...

 

my zed was sitting in yamanto not under cover and im told its fine parents car (new outback) got absolutely smashed.... every panel but they only have like a $400 excess so they are alright about it

have you not heard of a roof? lol useful things for protecting stuff in a storm

 

they were driving.... only were in the hail for like 2 mins driving to shelter (they live in the country so there was no other cover between where they were and their shed)

 

lol... hail damage ..... with 3 cars and a 2 car garage ..

.. have been playing russian roulette the last couple of nights ... promised heavy hail so the Civic has been covered with two very heavy doona covers each night ... but no hail ... other than a few hail marys ... lol... :biggrin::biggrin:

 

so i looked at it thismorning and its completely owned.
i got some photos but its hard to see the damage.

indicator smashed (left side)
no glass damage.
dents all over the left hand side. must of been the way they were falling. i was thinking it will probably be cheaper to get a new bonnet. thinking black then getting the little ones on the pannels popped out and painting the top black. so black top. it will give me something to do. that and i have all the paint etc at home.

Now people are looking at my car for the wrong reason.
