For any of those experiencing trouble separating the Red lense from the housing for the clear rear bar lights. Use a 32-tooth hacksaw blade. Start at the ends and work your way around, until you have enough of a groove to guide the blade along the full length of the housing.
You only want to cut in between 1-2mm, after which a larger flatblade screwdriver can be used to separate the lense from the backing. Start in the middle. If it doesnt separate easily, cut a bit deeper and attempt again.
From here, your Miniature file set you purchased from Jaycar to clean all of your electrical connectors is ideal to remove the fragments of red lense and glue from the housing. Even around the screw hole, where mine were glued solid.

Note- take caution with the glue you use, it will discolour the clear lense at the point of contact. The area it's glued is concealed well inside the bumper, but make sure you dont glue on any other part of the lense. 3-4 Clothing pegs are ideal for clamping it all together until the glue sets.

... and to anybody who breaks their rear housings trying to separate them, I have a spare set that I got just for this reason. Will give, for the cost of postage, to anybody who legitimely needs them.
