    Once again please clarify

    These are just turbos right.. we'd have to get pipes and extra custom work to fit right ??

    You keep calling them GT28R turbo Kits ??? Does that mean they come with everything yuo need to bolt on ?

    When you buy a Kit car, you don't need anything else. When you buy a suspension or break kit, everything you need is inside... To me a kit is every thing you need to bolt directly on.. like your engine bay bling kit... went straight in, so if this ISN'T a FULL kit, can you please just call them Turbo Upgrade Pacakages or GT28R Packages please, not a kit

    If i'm wrong and this is a full kit then i would be interested, thanks

    English Please ? Does this mean ALL i need is to buy this 5 bolt divorced downpipes... I assume 99% of people buying throught this GB will need a set ? so is there a seperate GB for this 5 bolt divorced downpipes ???

    REAL SIMPLE QUESTION:
    Will this kit bolt stright on, OR will i spend the rest of my waking hours trying to rig up some method of attaching this kit to the engine until i give up and get someone else to fit it ???
    Do you need to change the ECU or ANY OTHER issues to have this new kit

    LOOK this ain't no $5 air filter GB, this is a serious kit with serious cash needed... a little info would be greatly appreciated... like other then pulling out the engine and inserting Turbo A into Slot B, how much work is involved, how many mods will be needed ie both interms of bolting on and running, timing, do we need to tune the engine and ECU to run everything... Sorry the link is a typical sales page. I am after real facts from people with real experience... cause to be honest it seems that there is a 100 other things to consider with this kit that no one can seem to answer and if so then for all the time and extra effort it will take to put this kit in, what's stopping me just going to my local 300zx specialist and getting one of their kits and have them instal it ???

    Will this kit cost me $4,000 that's it and my time to instal, or will i find problems and more parts needed and end up costing me more like $7,000 ???

    count me out. Will set me back over $5k to have these and fitted. Out of my price range.

    Im just going to look for smaller turbos.

    I am interested as long as i can get the money together in time.


    Adrian - these kits bolt straight up. You need to get one of the engine mounts grinded a bit so they fit but thats just a very minor thing. You will also need 555 injectors, boost controller, 5 bolt dumps, bigger intercoolers would be a good idea and also a re-tuned ECU.

    Dont forget

    If you haven't got upgraded fuel injectors, you might want some bigger ones, and a bigger fuel pump.

    If going for the RS package, I would think you would want the engine rebuilt as I dont think a 15year old engine (with question marks as to how they were treated before we got them) will happily sustain 350-400kw with all stock internals.

    Reliability first, power second. (well thats what I aim for).

    As far as installation I am not the person to ask. I have been quoted around $1200 to install the kit by someone who has done it before, basically you need the cost of a engine pull and then a couple of hours to put together.

    I gave the option of eiher the GT28RS or the GT28R kit to choose from to fit people's budgets. Please note that you don't have to buy new dump pipes, i think you just need a flange or something (im not real technical) but optimally you would like to do at the same time:

    Injectors
    Dump Pipes
    Bigger Intercooler
    ECU upgrade

    This is very cheap for a whole kit, the UAS one retails for around $7k however it does include dump pipes ($500ish) so Adrian to answer your question, yes is a lot of dosh to fork out but if you're in the market for new turbos then you are going to know that it is going to be an expensive exercise.

    I remember seeing them i a post a while back, they looked pretty good.

    does any one know how much earlier the gt28r spools than the RS ?
    would there be much difference?

    why don't we run this after the injectors become available?

    because when they do, then minivan will complete his installation with a full write up on it and also including a trip to the dragz to give us his new 1/4m times (he got the "before" times just a few weeks back)

    i think if people are armed with that kind of knowledge, then they can know exactly what type of turbo that they want


    in regards to the GB price, is that individual packing? u need to make sure there's no duties involved...

    hahaha matt.. my install is gunna take about a month as im not getting a kit.. im just getting the turbos and doing all the fab work.. i still need the 555s and dumps from tektrader

    by the way.. i have 2 packages sitting at the TNT depot for me to pick up in the morn (missed the driver) i wonder what it could bbeeeeee

    I have 20 sets of 5 bolt dumps in the works. They will be finshed in the next few weeks.

    I have 90% of the pipes bent and the flanges cut.

    Cost will be $650 a pair.

    The injectors have been a long term project.

    Its taken ages to dig through the reseller levels on these. there are so many fingers in these injectors when they get sold for $1100. You wouldnt beleive.

    I have a supplier. The initial price looks right. I just have to bring it to the point when I can publish the bottom line.

    I cant do that till I get back after the 12th.

    The dumps are a better fit than the CES ones. The passenger side is Ok but the drivers side is a mess. I had to change them a fair bit to make them acceptable to me.

    Price is half of the CES pipes.

    They will be a good solution.

    Am i right in saying that the stock 28RS"s have a .86 turbine housing

    but the GT675RS's have been altered to a smaller housing so they spool up quicker? is this right? What size is the smaller housing???

    And also what size are the stock 28R's turbine housing??

    Can someone explain, or am i totally off track?:wacko:

    hey guys, i also use the nissan silvia forums, and noticed a guy saying about 300zx tt setup so enquired for yall and this is what i got back.

    Thank you for your inquiry.

    The kit will include the dumps for the twin turbo kit that will match up to the jap setup unlike the ones most are selling that fit the US setup.

    It will include all the braded lines an fittings. 2*GTRS 400HP turbots which flow about 200HP more combined then the GT28R setup. They will come with compact adjustable actuators set to 15 psi. we will also do a GT28R kit and a GT28RS also

    the price is not final yet but you can expect it to be about 4 to 4.5K max and less for the GT28R kit

    we can do a group buy pricing onece all info is available.

    make sure you get the .64 AR exhaust housing ones.. RS comes in .81 and .64 from memory.. i think the 28r does aswell
