That's such a shame Benny. After running airbags on the ute for over 2 years there's really no comparison going back to springs. In cabin ride height adjustability is simply the way to go.
I'm assuming pics of your low-ass Zed? Haven't seen any yet. btw, have your got your rims to fit in the guards yet to drive to Zedfest? I wanna seeeeee!!! :zlove:
It should be there, but I have to 1) Get a new high-flow turbo core from CZP 2) Pull engine, replace turbos 3) Get cats, have exhaust welded up 4) Get a blue slip, green slip, etc... 5) ??? 6) Profit! Until then... enjoy!
Welcome back to the sane club, you'll enjoy it, got the same setup as you (as mine is 2 seater the ass end always sticks up more) so went with low king springs KYB shocks, they run really well. Might sell them when I get the car shipped over to Germany with me though for something harder, as the roads aint like Australia lol but I think you'll enjoy them tbh, I did
Nice Benny. Bet your car still turns just as many heads. ... You went for the KYB's, which seem to have a fairly good reputation on this forum, which goes against the reputation the KYB's at least have on a lot of other forums which is that the rebound is terribly/overly stiff. Just here-say, but what made you choose these over say Koni Yellow's or Bilstein B6's? Price? Availability?
Reason is i've recently had a failed set of Koni adjustable struts on the rear, and thought bugger it i'm going to try the KYB's (and in saying that, i went the KYB Excel - non adjustables). So going by this first hand (and very pleasant) experience with this particular product, i'm confident to go another set for the fronts aswell now to complete the set. ...but i will most definately post up my experiences with running the (now) complete set of KYB Excel with Low King Spring setup. But from what bits i've heard and experienced, i think this would be a very comforatable and cheap setup for those that want lower than standard look, but still some comfort and driveability.... :zlove:
Cool, were the Koni's under warranty? I thought they came with a good warranty.. Wonder why they blew. Reckon the car was too low for them? I had Koni's, paired with the Tanabe springs on my Z when I had it. I was really happy with them.
